I was just driving over to her house to take her to the doctor and she had already passed. She certainly wouldn't have liked to be with tubes or oxygen, or in a wheelchair, so I guess she went the way she wanted to. She always use to use James Dean famous quote: "Live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse."

Aunt Jean was my hero all my life. From the days when I was a child and riding Rebel, playing baseball and swimming at Double Trouble in Beachwood through the old days of weeding and branding calves (and more baseball) right through to the last years of old movies, old songs, old hymns, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, Aunt Jean was my role model, friend and companion. To my cousin William and his family, you and Aunt Jean will always be in my heart.

Correction: She watched the All-Star Game on Tuesday not Wednesday and started singing baseball songs with her niece Caroline. Then they switched into hymns like the Old Rugged Cross and her favorite In the Garden. So for her, she was at peace with the world.
