I had not seen Rima for 32 years, maybe more, and even that was a surprise meeting at the Truro Center for the Arts in Truro, MA. I was modeling for a sculpture group, as in naked, and was told that another model would be working with me that day and in walks Rima. I had not seen her since our days studying theater at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. We barely said hi, kept eye contact and immediately went into movement improvisation without regard to the class of elderly dilettante artists. We caught up with each other after class, and that was the last that I have seen or heard of her till I got the Grinnell Magazine today and read of her death.
A very fine, strong spirit. See you later, Rima.
