Elvira Trujillo

Elvira I. Trujillo, 92, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandma and great grandma passed away on September 14, 2015 from this life on earth to a much greater calling to be with the Lord, her loved husband, and her adored son. Elvira was born on September 29, 1922 and was a long time resident of Tesuque, NM.
Elvira was the light in many of our lives and was a gift to all those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. She had a joy for life and there was nothing she loved more than visiting with her family and friends, in fact you were lucky if she let you leave the house. She radiated warmth and love. Her strength and faith were qualities that were admired by all, she had a personal relationship with Jesus and it was apparent as she continued to pray her rosary until she took her last breaths. She loved going to the casino to gamble and although she would have loved to win the big one, she really enjoyed the company of everyone around her.
There is no woman on this earth that could compare to the woman she was. Never knowing her was the only loss greater than losing this amazing woman. Although she will be missed, we will never forget the joy and love the mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend has brought to each and every one of us. We will continue to carry her legacy in our hearts and in our memories forever!!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delfinia Muniz, husband, Fidel Trujillo Sr., sons, Joseph and Fidel Trujillo Jr., brother, Rudy Muniz and wife Flora, sisters, Lala Muniz and Trini Fernandez. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Ortega and late husband Paul, Lorraine Benavidez, daughter-in-law Virginia Trujillo, nephew Manuel Romero and wife Ann. Her grandchildren, Robert (Angela), Joseph (Kalene), Freddy (Amanda), Fernando (Francine), Mario (Desiree), Rosie (Louie), Lisa (Richie), Angelic (Erica), Erica (Steve), Crystal (Sarah), Eileen and 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Rosary will be recited on Tuesday September 22, 2015 at 12 PM, followed by the Memorial Mass at 1PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 417 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87501. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Robert, Joseph, Freddy, Fernando, Mario, and JoJo Ortega, Louie Tapia Jr., and Joey Chavez.
