Rosalia (Rose) Rebecca Ortiz
Rose Ortiz, 85, of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2010 in the presence of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Jose V. Ortiz, parents Ramon and Gabriela Trujillo, brothers Frank and Phillip Trujillp, sister Tomasita Roybal, granddaughter Audrey Sena, son-in-law Antonio Roybal, and great-grandson Jayden Fodrey.
She is survived by her brothers Juan and Jose Trujillo, sister Martina Romero, children Carmen (Benny) Chavez, Consuelo (Nazario) Valdez, Adela Roybal, Angie Johnson, Jose V. (Frances) Ortiz, Frances (Alex) Trujillo, Loyola (Johnny) Serna, Ruben (Debra) Ortiz, Anita Ortiz (Robert Lovato), Patsy (Erasmo) Ornelas, Mike (Ruth) Ortiz, Vincent Ortiz, Grace Ortiz (Ralph Sandoval), and Theresa (Clifford) Otero, 33 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ortiz is also survived by a special nephew Orlando Trujillo and many other relatives and friends.
The Family of Rose R. Ortiz would like to thank the Amber Care Hospice staff. A special thank you to Mary Fiedt, Silva Sisneros, and Dr. Kristine Parke for their kindness and for all they did for her.
A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 9:00am at St. Anne Catholic Church mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00am with interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Kathy Wheeler, Sandra Valdez, Carla R. CdeVaca, Yvette Kirwin, Melissa Fodrey, Lois Trujillo, Elizabeth Serna, Perla Ortiz, Jessica Ortiz, Amanda Haubert, Desiray Arellano, Maya Ortiz, and Tara Maras.
The Family has request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Amber Care Hospice, 2074 Galisteo Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505
